When the prestigious Loch Lomond Golf Club – one of the finest private clubs in the world – bought the Southern Gailes golf development in Ayrshire, its vice-president, Keith Williams, and his team set about preparing the new links course to open for a preview season.
The newest addition to Loch Lomond Golf Club is Dundonald. Designed by Kyle Phillips, one of the game's top architects, it has been recognised as one of the best new courses in the world (Robb Report 2004). Situated by the sea near the legendary town of Troon, Dundonald's soil and climate conditions make the course suitable for year-round play.

The Dundonald course is being operated by the Loch Lomond Golf Club management team under the direction of club vice-president, Keith Williams.
