Description:	In 1888 Bennett Jannetta left the small village of Atina, near Casino, in Italy and travelled to Dysart in Scotland. Amongst the few possessions he brought with him was his delicious recipe for traditional Italian ice cream. Twenty years later, in 1908, Bennett opened his popular and fashionable soda parlour at 31 South Street in St Andrews. The shop has been through many changes since then, but his name is still found above the shop today. Our shop is in St Andrews at 31 South Street, near the corner with Abbey Street. This is the end of South Street nearest to the cathedral when visiting St. Andrews B.jenetta Ice Cream must not be missed they are also fellow members of the St. Andrews Merchants Assosciation and why not nip along to the Barbers Pole for a Haircut and a Free Nip of Whisky !
