Description:	Bridgend Golf Club is a 9-hole course located in the heart of West Lothian. It provides a challenge for players of all abilities. Visitors are always welcome and many return again and again to enjoy the golf. A fairly new course, construction was started in the mid-90's. The local pub was in danger of closing and residents of the village realised the need for a replacement. They came up with the idea of combining a new golf course with a replacement for the pub. Using ground from the long defunct shale industry, development of the course got underway. When the pub was finally demolished in the late 90's, the construction of the clubhouse and course was almost complete. It now provides residents and visitors with superb golfing and social facilities.
